Planning

The Parish Council is consulted on planning applications within the parish and in parishes close to its boundaries. Parish Councils are one of many planning consultees. The decision-making authority for planning applications in Cornwall is Cornwall Council.

Parish Councillors review planning applications before each Parish Council meeting. Parish Council meetings are held in public, with a public speaking period near the start of each meeting. The Parish Council decides whether to support or object to each planning application and sends its comments to Cornwall Council.

If you would like to view Planning Applications online you can view them on the Online Planning Register at Cornwall Council. Do this by clicking on the link below and selecting search for a planning application. http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/planning/online-planning-register. There is a box that prompts for a keyword, reference number, postcode or single line of an address. Entering the place name, followed by clicking the ‘Search’ button will bring you to the most recent planning applications relevant to the area named. There is also an option to search by map – click on the ‘map’ tab on the Simple Search page.
