Just in time for sitting and enjoying some beautiful spring sunshine, the parish council has arranged for the bench by St Buryan Church to be repaired with good quality hardwood which should last for years.
This has been a true community effort, with personal contributions in funding and in labour provided. Many in the village will have fond memories of friends and relations sitting on the bench and watching the world go by, and now it can continue to be a valued amenity for the village. The wood has been finished beautifully – and of course the bench will be a welcome rest-stop for walkers from near and far.
